How to Setup Automatic iBoss Login

We have a procedure that will log your computer, not your web browser, into iBoss.  If you follow this procedure, you will stay logged into iBoss for the better part of a day and not be automatically logged off every fifteen minutes.  So, this new system works much better than going to a blocked page and manually logging in as a different user.  This is particularly useful if you like to use streaming media or other services that get interrupted by the automatic log-off.  The process does take some setup, but it’s not too bad.  We have created a brief screencast of the steps you’ll need to follow.  Once you are done with the setup, all you will need to do is launch contacts once a day.

Here’s the setup procedure if you don’t wish to watch the tutorial.

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Open Internet Accounts
  3. Click the Exchange button on the right side of the window
  4. Enter your email address and your email password in the first window
  5. Click continue
  6. Enter CRPrairie -iBoss in the description field
  7. Enter in the server field
  8. Click continue
  9. Accept the security certificate error by clicking the continue button on the error popup window.
  10. Click continue on the account summary page.
  11. On the next page, deselect all choices (Mail, Calendar, Tasks, etc…) except Contacts.
  12. Click continue and close system preferences.

Again, once the setup is complete, all you need to do is launch the Contacts app from the Dock and click the continue button on security certificate warning popup.  As always, let me know if you have questions.
